I’ve been searching to find my own voice as a singer, poet and spoken word performer. With Laura’s help I’ve been able to join up multiple creative aspects, through breath work and practising scales. The lessons have positively impacted on how I create poetry and my writing process, and I have been getting compliments on my voice: people have told me it’s soothing and that they could listen to me for hours. I’m very grateful for Laura’s approach and her ability to tap into my inner emotions and help me lean into the unknown. I’ve really appreciated her advice and guidance especially when I am performing on stage to tackle anxiety and nerves. I’ve been noticing how much more stable and calm I feel when I perform, and how mistakes no longer throw me off—in fact I can use them as a way to build on my performance—by embracing them.
